Formed in 2013, Joe 'Daddy' Warner organized the ‘Burque Blues Guild’, a group of like-minded musicians dedicated to the tradition of the American Blues genre. The Blues Guild hosted a weekly traditional blues jam at Ben Michael's restaurant in Old Town Albuquerque from 2013 to 2016. The weekly blues jam moved to Ned's in 2016. After Ned's closure the Blues Guild continued performing in Albuquerque's local music scene and New Mexican regional Blues Festivals. After a layoff that continued through the pandemic the weekly Blues Guild Jam has now returned to a new venue, Kaktus Brewing Co. in Bernalillo, New Mexico
